I discovered I bought the wrong edition of the book I need for the class. *sigh* My fault, I completely didn't pay attention to the whole "second edition" thing. I've got the first edition, but I did find the second at my local library. I'll just have to borrow it and keep renewing it for the class (and keep my eyes peeled for a cheap copy of the second).

On the bright side I'll get some experience in fixing boo-boos.
The teacher at the end of the fence rail video said mark the block with a piece of painters tape if it's a bit off and I'll show you how to fix that when we get to assembly. So you see by screwing up the block a little I'm getting the full benefit from the class. (I do know what I did wrong that made it wonky, I won't do it again.)

I did get the 4 nine patch blocks completed this morning! Disregard the color. What's reading as reds are actually very dark dark pinks. The color in the fence rail block is much truer. These little guys turned out very close to perfect.
Remember the pincushion is open until Monday morning, comment in the previous post if you want you name in the hat.

Your blocks look fantastic! I also really like the way the dark pink strips join up in the first picture. That looks really cool.

I think that all your blocks are looking great so far. And no matter is you’re just starting out or have done quilting for a while, something is bound not to line up correctly. But there are always ways to fix it!!

Ugh! Desire…make…quilt…mounting….
Looks so good, Missy. Thanks for always answering all my questions and wondering; you’re so awesome, and craft stores everywhere thank you for doubling my wish/project list.
P.S. Is/Was On the River (I know, I said The Name!) from The Woolen Needle? I *think* I saw it on their site recently, and I wondered if that was the source.

I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler – much less sew one! I’m sure that once fixed, it won’t be noticeable at all!

Excellent blocks Missy! And I love what you did with the leftovers – great little pincushion. I love your fabric choices, you’re doing GREAT!
