Day two we spent viewing the Quilts.
OMFG, by turns stunning, awe inspiring, breath taking, intimidating... Just one picture today (I really didn't take that many - there was just too much to even hope to capture)

Best In Show, On The Wings of a Dream by Caryl Bryer Fallert. Maybe not my absolute favorite, but really it is well beyond beautiful.
Of course I did a touch more shopping.

A wool pattern for the reindeer table topper. A pattern to make a beautiful sewing set. The pattern and kit for a small Halloween quilted table topper. Bohin got me again, a chalk pencil with many & various colors of chalk. And 5 fat quarters of Halloween fabric.
For Cheryl (the picture - not the scissors, mine mine mine!!!! lol)

And Annette & Me.

(my shirt reads "Come to the dark side, we have cookies... -V")
And big thank you to Annette, she taught me to knit!!!!!!!!!! We also established I'm rather tense. lol My knitting tension is like my crochet, TIGHT. I'm going out later today for groceries, but I'll also be stopping by Michael's to grab a pair of needles. Dish clothes here I come!
Don't forget tomorrow is the kick off for the 13 Days of Halloween Giveaway. I'll do my best to have day one's post up around 8am central time. I'll repeat this tomorrow but the important points:
1. Post a comment to enter every day.
2. Post a link to my blog on your blog that day and post another comment every day letting me know that you did.
3. Post a comment telling me you posted my button (found on the 13 Days page) on your blog to be automatically entered once everyday. This comment you only have to post one time, the day you begin hosting the button. And yes, you have to keep it up on your blog all 13 Days.

OMG great stash. That Halloween fabric is AWESOME!
Congratulations on learning to knit! I can’t crochet any more (puts my hands to sleep) but when I did mine was tight as hell. I had to seriously concentrate to loosen up!
I created a button for the 13 Days, it’s up & running. Can’t wait ’til tomorrow!

Wow, what an awesome quilt! And cool stash too! I am a super tight knitter…I always have to do gauge too. It’s a pita…remember that if you ever move onto garments. Congrats on learning…it may become another obsession!

Wow, that’s a quilt and not a painting? It’s stunning! Glad you had a great time with Annette and it’s lovely to see a photo of both of you. Have fun with knitting…and in case you weren’t aware, Ravelry has a ton of free dishcloth patterns. I just finished my first dishcloth this week.

That quilt by Carol is amazing. I’ve been a huge fan of her quilts for years. Looks like you picked up some new stash!! Especially that Halloween fabric – love it! Practice makes perfect on the knitting. I used to be horrible at it – too tight – holes – the whole nine yards. Just practice and you will be fine!

What great pics but the one of you is darling!! I can’t wait to see what all you do for your contest! Good luck with the knitting – a nice cocktail would probably ease the tension in your stitches!

Wow, you two are having far too much fun!! You are going to have to retire to add knitting to your hobby list.

Love the new stash especially the reindeers and the halloween fabrics. Nice T-shirt

When I saw that pic of the quilt, I gasped very loudly! Just wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous!!!
October 19th, 2009 - 7:10 am
That’s it, the next time we are all together, I get to be the one to learn to knit!!
October 19th, 2009 - 7:40 am
Your hair cut looks adorable! BTW, I am rereading the Outlander series through audible and I had forgotten how much I love Jamie and Claire. I’m ashamed to admit I know Outlander by heart and I haven’t read that book in years.
Knitting is fun. Yarn stash is even better!

Beautiful quilts (I saw some on another blog too)!
Wow…. Annette is a knitting goddess… how lucky that she taught you. I’m a beginner too. Have fun and can’t wait to see your dish cloths! I think I see another scarf in my future.
October 19th, 2009 - 8:41 am
I have those scissors in black
October 19th, 2009 - 10:17 am
Thank you muchly for the scissor pic – made my day.
Love. But you knew I would. And, as a result of your evilness, I googled Bohin scissors. When the purchase happens, and it will because I found a site with free shipping, it is YOUR fault.
Kudos for conquering the big needles. That’s a skill that eludes me. I have no doubt that there will be much knitting of cute things posted here.

Great pic of you and Annette. And congrats on learning to knit. Maybe one day I’ll learn to do more than knit an endless scarf! LOL

I’m not sure I know how to do that posting for 13 days… :[ But, I’ll try the old-fashioned way. I love the pic of you and Annette!!!
Please add me to your giveaway!
