a much better post. But I'm sick with what feels like 2 lbs of razor edged snot in my chest. Nothing else is wrong besides that, I guess I'll count that as a win.
I was sitting around thinking the other day (hey, it happens) and I thought I've been such a good girl. All my June work is complete, why don't I do what I want instead of maybe getting a jump on July.
And me being me... Well, let me say I had honest intentions. I had to make an order at a ONS because I needed some threads and beads for current/going to be current projects. And I already had most of the stuff for it... I bought Mediterranean Mermaid. Bad me, when I feel better I'll have dh spank me for it.
I've named her Eudora:

I'm stitching her on 25ct. Stormy Seas lugana from Polstitches. Obviously I am beading as I go. I have two things to say: yay! beads don't crowd on 25ct & metric ass-ton of beads.
Two other quickies, my WNRR "Warrenville" came home today. I have to add one last house and a border of some sort and I'm super happy with it. Thanks to everyone who stitched on it! And the Fair & Square July 4th squares I stitched arrived at their new home. Both are from Brightneedle. I changed the sig square's color to match the colonial gal.

Call it a pooping fish if you like but I really think the jug/jar/vase/whatever it is is really pretty. It looks awesome with all of the beads! The blues are so pretty, too…gah, now I want this one!
She’s super pretty, Missy! I love her on Stormy Seas!
I really like your new start and your cute July 4th things, but all I can think of is that girl in the convent in Monty Python’s “Holy Grail” movie squealing, “Oh, yes, spankings, spankings!” Am I twisted or what??
Beads…so…pretty!! I’ve seen this one around and thought, “She isn’t much…”, but here she looks stunning! You must be doing a great job.
I love your start on the Mermaid. Can’t wait to see more of your progress on this one. I’m like you and bead as I go on those designs. I hate going back and trying to finish up something or beading all at the same time. Love your patriotic designs too!
I really like the Mermaid too. I have to admit to thinking the vase was a fish the very first time I saw the model pic, but never imagined the “pooping” part til others started saying it. I think yours looks a lot more like a vase and it is coming along beautifuly.
One thing I wondered about it being able to be displayed both vertical and horizontal: Won’t that mess up the way those crystal teardrops lay if you hang it vertical? Looks like you are going horizontal anyway – but I’m toying with the idea of going vertical with mine (you know one day when I start it after all the other things I’m gonna start) and wondered if that would be an issue.
It all looks beautiful! Your fabric for Eudora is really perfect. I have looked up and down for the chart for that little colonial gal with the flag and can’t find her.. Where can I get her? Thanks!
Eudora is coming along nicely. Nothing wrong with rewarding yourself. have your DH spank you if you want, but I’m sayin’ that’s voluntary.
Great fabric choice.
Warrenville turned out really cute! Another great fabric choice. And the colonial gal is really sweet. Good stitching, my friend!
Oooo, I love your Fourth of July squares! I’m such a sucker for Red, White & blue!
